Glowing Cloud
A few months ago I bought a second hand Seagull S6, kind of a dread with a smallish body and a solid cedar top. The shop had to re-attache the neck twice to get it playable, and there was a general dead spot at the 13th fret. It sounded incredible though, and as a cowboy chord basher I didn't think it was a problem for me. I felt lucky to have such a beautiful sound for 150 bucks.
On the drive home, the shop where I bought it called. Turns out that it was a stolen guitar (and royally fucked up before or after the theft). Later, local police called and I gave the police officer the guitar later that night. He told me that the guitar had been in storage when the thief in question had stolen it, and since I was a victim of the crime along with the owner and the music shop, he would ask the owner if I could have the guitar.
