I heard the announcement of that yesterday while listening to Toronto Jazz station Jazz.FM91. I wasn't familiar with him except for hearing the name a few times. But the DJ started listing some of the classic albums he helped shape ... holy crap, what a murderer's row of great music!

RIP, indeed. You've done a man's job, sir. /bladerunner
