For $2000. I mean, who wouldn't pay $2K for a Norlin-era LP with a pancake body and a break AT BOTH ENDS of the neck!?!?!? Is it just me, or is this guy insane?
 
By jove, you're right -- that would only improve it by about 100%! I still maintain that I doubt this was originally a natural-finish.
I assume the same. Aren't natural or see-through finishes generally on bookmatched tops, not three piece?
 
I would never buy a guitar with a repaired neck break ever. That era of Gibson however is not as bad as people say. There are numerous guitarists who are known for their tone that play sandwich bodied Les Pauls. But a natural top when they wouldn't spare the expense for a two piece top is ugly. The tuners and pickups from the Norlin era do suck though.
 
So that means my flamed solid koa Carvin should sell for 4k, if that Gibson is selling for 2k :embarrassed:
