Dexter Inferno
Serious error
So this weekend I thought I'd try something for shits and giggles.
Long story short I've had a now defunct POS Fender Blues Jr. Worked well for a couple of years until it started developing horrible intermittent noise issues. So the last couple of years it's been sitting unused.
Well, this weekend I just ripped out the amp part of it as well as the spring reverb boxamathingie and turned it into a VERY open back 1x12 cabinet.
And tonight I ran my Victory V30 through it at band practice - and it sounds fucking awesome (even though the speaker in it isn't supposed to be that great). Actually sounds better than the closed back cab I have (none of that ugly low mid buildup/cab resonance which actually can sometimes be a probem with that amp).
Cost me about 5 minutes with a screwdriver.
