So you have a separate home office? My living room is still like that...without the goat guts
WOW!:gu:Meh, you're not living dangerous until you use an extension cord to connect an 8 outlet surge protector that's fully loaded into another 8 outlet surge protector that only had that one open outlet...
Sorry about the goat guts on the tv. Montana wolves you know.
LOL! First thing I saw! We try to have none of that stuff in the living room, which we try to use for sitting and talking, etc. There is a family room with all that stuff.Sorry about the goat guts on the tv. Montana wolves you know.
So you have a separate home office?
Absolutely. I had this too in my last home. I loved the place, but all the outlets were two-wire and someone had swapped all the old outlets out with new ones.My house was built in 1956. We literally have 2 2 gang outlet boxes in every room and even though they are three prong receptacles nothing was grounded properly. Thats being addressed in next years remodel.
Our house before this one was wired like that. Have you lost tv's etc to lightening strikes? Crying out loud we lost a couple that way so when ever thunderstorms came up we rushed to unplug everything. My house was built in 1956. That's what I'm talking about in the beginning. It's maddening isn't it. I once used cable ties to make everything nice and neat. Next time I said the hell with it.The wires behind your desk give me anxiety.
Are you referring to my blue cup sir! It's 28 ounces and I try to drink 3 of them full of water each day. My good glasses are reserved for bourbon and coffee. You've spent so much on gadgets that you can't afford glassware.
I've got two good ones under there. It's not always so bad. A computer monitor draws a whopping 20W. A lamp, computer (100W max), printer and a few wall warts and you're still way under the spec'd load of the outlet, wiring and breaker. Just don't cheap out on a power strip. Buy a good one.
