I don’t really get the obsession with donuts. Teeth-rottingly sweet lumps of grease.

People here are going crazy for Krispy Kreme... I don’t get it

Krispy Kreme vigorously concealed their "secret flavour" in their glaze. I worked for KK in the 80s.

It's vanilla & butterscotch extract.

My father was a baker, and I grew up on donuts. Dunkin' and Krispy Kreme are not donuts in my world. I do like a really good donut when I can find one.

I had no idea Krispy Kreme was still around. The local Krispy Kreme closed, and I had assumed the whole chain went out of business.

Last year I helped organize a conference, and we got the local hipster donut place to sponsor breakfast. They brought out some awesome donuts.

While I'll take fresh donuts from Judy's, or the Donut Depot any time, I'm not above crushing a dozen Krispy Kremes. If only they weren't 100 miles away. An Apple Bearclaw or Rasberry Jelly donut always works for me. Say no to Custard.

“crushing” is hood slang for eating?
