Quick Review: The Fender Mustang PJ Bass

I played one of these at Rudy's yesterday. It sounded good and felt like an MIM Standard, which is what I guess $550 gets you these days. The J pickup hummed, as is their nature. Overall, while it sounded good, it did not feel like a $500 bass. I would pay $300 for one though. So I guess if one ever comes up used I would consider it, but I'm out of GAS on this one.
 
About 10 years ago I paid $300 bucks for that bass' American made vintage equivalent.

Gear prices are dumb.
