Question for the drummers...

We're putting together a basic kit for Barnstorm Storm / Heelstock and I was thinking about getting a few pairs of sticks to keep on hand...problem is I have no idea how the size designations work...

So, are there 2 or 3 particular stick sizes I could order that most drummers would find acceptable?

I like 7A's. Preferably Vic Firth. They're not quite as durable though; I'd pick up a brick of Pro-Mark or Vic Firth 5A's and call it a day.

For rock stuff, 5A is the way to go. Personally I swear by Pro Mark (and have for the last 15 years), in my experience they don't break quite as "easy" as the Vic Firth sticks. 's all a matter of taste though.

Plus, if a drummer has a preference, they could bring sticks easily; it would be like a guitarist bringing their favorite picks.
