So you're also likely to go to the Batman Lego movie this weekend?

My six year-old is excited...as is his man child father...and even his 12 year-old bro that isn't a big Lego fan, but enjoyed the figures for a bit in his youth.

The guitar is a killer. It's a significant improvement on the Adkins Tele...yours has the right bridge. Is it a 25.5" scale too?

Yep, I'll be at the Batman Lego movie this weekend. I was obsessed with Legos and Star Wars as a kid, so it's like I'm reliving my childhood.

Yes, the Tele is 25.5" scale. It's funny you mention the Adkins Tele, as the idea for this project grew out of the original TC-90 which was the precursor to the Adkins Tele. I had one of those and liked it, but wanted to change a few things about it. Then the Adkins came out and it was closer to what I was thinking, but still not quite there. So I made this one.

I'm digging these more and more... please post pics of P90 guitars!!!

he new Suhr Classic JM Pro starts with a familiar, yet more refined and sleeker, offset body and adds enhancements to playability previously unattainable to the guitarist interested in a truly vintage vibe guitar.

This Classic JM Pro features two huge sounding but hum-free (using and active Silent Single Coil II System) S90 pickups with a low profile three way pickup selector. Raunchy and loud yet warm and clear, The Suhr S90 pickups are faithful recreations of this classic P90 pickup design from the 50's. Ideal for blues, blues-rock, classic rock and jazz, the S90 pickups have the power and richness of humbuckers coupled with the clarity and sparkle of classic single-coil pickups. Premium components and John Suhr's extensive know-how and experience in pickup technology assure that you get the very best pickup of this type the world has to offer. Suhr S90 pickups are available in either black or cream bobbins. DC Resistance: 8.1K ohms for bridge pickup, 7.1K ohms for neck pickup.

Another great feature is the unique contoured cutaway and heel on the Classic JM Pro, allowing easier access to the upper register. For optimum tone and stability, the neck joint must not be too tight or too loose, therefore all of our neck pockets are precisely fitted by hand, by expert craftsmen.

Like all Suhr guitars, the frets are Plek leveled and hand dressed for superior playability. The improved headstock design enhances tuning stability, eliminating the need for a string tree.

The combination of Alder bodies and Maple with Indian Rosewood fingerboard necks, combined with the superior Suhr pickups give these instruments that classic tone expected from a JM styled guitar, fitting nicely in every genre from country to rock.

It's raucous and ballsy and plays very comfortably. But ultimately it's too noisy for me .... and I have 3 unshielded single coil strats. At some point, I'm going to try a pair of Kent Armstrong Stealth 90s or other 'quiet' soapbar P90s in it, because it's a really fun guitar to play.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I put the Tele together five years ago as a potential future gift to my son. I finished it a few days before he was born. If he takes an interest in guitars, it will be his when he gets older. He was intrigued when he was a baby, but now that he's five his attention is entirely focused on Lego and Star Wars.

Wag - you remember that I'm first in line for it when he decides he's a drummer... right? I mean, you put my name it!

I was always a fan of the Feranandes Native A2...P90's, Strat trem, lightweight but big sounding. Wish I had bought a Seafoam Green one with...never run into the P90 models used.

As demoed by an old familiar face to many of us...

I always wished Frets' bedroom was less messy in his videos.
