One of them covered Bruce Springsteen, was covered by U2, dated Sam Shepard, and had a hand in inventing punk

A guy I knew at my first job knew the band Scandal. I think he worked the mixing board at one point. They called him up in 1983 to try and score them some cocaine. They were touring with The Who. They wanted an oz. My co worker did not succeed in getting them juiced up for the show. I'm sure Patti had nothing to do with the drugs. Nor did I.
That may explain why they weren't around long.

Vote Patty. Plus she's married to John Mcenroe.

Why is that only an observation with a woman? Does Bob Dylan look like he's clean? But I gotta agree, Patty Smyth looks like a dirty pirate hooker.
 
Couldn't find the commercial I was looking for. Bummed. Chicago peeps that are old enough to be around when they aired but, not so old that they can't remember will know which one I'm talking about.

 
I know I'm supposed to be all high-brow and say otherwise, but aside from "Redondo Beach" and maybe one or two others I never really connected with Patti.

I do love the stuff she wrote with BOC though.
