Well, at least it's not over $2K, but shipping kills the deal...

This is a fine example of how to take a beautiful, beautiful guitar build like a Cabronita, and completely fuck it up in just about every way imaginable.

The pick guard is among the ugliest I've ever seen.
Milk paint on a guitar? Really? I thought only HGTV & DIY shows use that shit.

Hey, look! Another variation on the same shit. I love Teles, but the filtertrons on a single cut bolt neck guitar seems covered at this point. In reality I'd not likely pay more than the cost of the MIM Cabronita, except maybe a Flatroc.

+1

I'm pickup shopping for a two-humbucker guitar and the TV Jones Filtertron styles seem really cool and off the beaten path. Plus everybody loves them. Everyone says a mostly-clean thumbpick and fingers guy like me should love them.

The problem is I keep listening to clips and not actually digging what I hear. :(

That guitar is trying too hard. It's like a late-40s mom who still looks pretty good but tries to wear clothes meant for a 20 year-old.

"Model T." LOL Why don't they just call it what it is? "The 2014 I didn't have an original thought in my head, so I stole a traditional design." Though, I guess that's hard to get on a headstock.
