Dig it! Paisley Fabric Ibanez Project

Fucking sanding swirls! Have to look at it with the neck on, get excited, and get back to sanding this bitch.

Well, learned a lot from this project. The front came out well. The back had some issues due to a couple of air bubbles and not building up enough lacquer, so there are parts on the back that are almost down to bare material. Didn't put near enough black on the sides and back, sanded through on a couple of spots.

This is one of my guitars that gets played and beaten on pretty often so I am happy with the finish now vs the original and am content to assemble as is. I am still swapping pups around so I will add a nickel cover to the neck, or replace it with one that has a cover when I am decided, and who knows, I might pull this down and mess with it again and pretty up the sides and back a bit.

Great job, I saw a similar job like this on a bass recently, love the black and white paisley. Pretty sure I don't have the patients to do this.

Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.

How does it sound? Does the extra fabric and epoxy change its tone, sustain etc?
