How did I get here?
So, after today's job was over before it got going, I decided to stop by GC on the way home to see if the Katanas might be in (HA!). I tried out a Spider V 60...uh, yeh, so anyway, I moved over to a MIII and next to it was one of these:
WELL, now...after poo-pooing the other Mitchells I tried (and mentioned in my other thread) , THIS one was light-years different. This one actually has a pretty beefy neck, but with a flatter fb radius, and felt absolutely perfect. The rail pickups were shockingly clear (I found out later that they are actually alnico rails
), and the workmanship was really good. No fret issues, and even after bending the shit out of many notes, the thing stayed perfectly in tune.
A sale may cave me in on this one.
