Hi,
The "Audio In" jack on my First Act MA214 bass amp works fine. However,
Plugging into the "Instrument In" jack yields a hum and no guitar sound.
So,
I'm thinking that the instrument in jack is at fault. If it is the jack can I just replace it with a regular guitar input jack?
Any help is appreciated.

I wanted to ask this in your thread over on the Duncan forum, but I'm a moderator there and some people (not in charge) would bug out...

Also, as asked over there, does the amp have an effects loop?
 
Trash to someone would be a little SS bass amp that doesn't work.
Treasure to me is a free amp that I might be able to fix cheap.
No effects loop on the amp (it's only a entry level First Act combo)
I opened it up and one solder joint between the jack and pcb was broken.
I re-soldered it and it's working fine.
