On the road!

I saw this in the rearview and had to turn around and come back. The owner was very cool and let me take a few pics. Sorry about the sun/shade issues, but I wasn't about to ask him to move it

1970 Torino GT 351C manual tranny, 9" rear, all stock, even the paint. It's got a few issues, but MAN would I love to have this baby.

BOINNNNNNG!!

now i'm sad.:( cuz I sold mine.

those 70/71 Torinos are just H.O.T. they're not like any other muscle car of the era. the body shape is a little odd looking, but that is a good part of what made them king of NASCAR in the day.

I love that body shape! I told the guy I thought a set of Keystones would really look good, and I never was a fan of them. In my mind Keystones would look badass on that Torino with the right size tires and stance.

I thought of you when I saw it. He told me I could take her home for 11K. I'd love to, but no can do. :)

yea.....I often wonder what mine would bring, had I kept it. there were so few of them made that it might not be as much as you would think. you see folks giving up around a million for a hemi cuda, but you rarely even see a Super Cobra Jet car, much less a Torino Cobra 4 speed NASCAR badged one.

I saved up a few photos from town over winter, so without further adieu, here are cool cars around town and in the ski parking lot at SV.

Looks like this one may have a chevy motor in it.

Obviously I am attracted to the 70's land crusher types. @Prages might like this post. But the others are fun to see too. That DeLorean is pretty much a daily driver for the owner. @Elias Graves , since we are talking cars, thought I would point you this way. And of course you @Mark Wein

Now those were the good ol' days of Jeep, back when they were focused on all terrain. The Toyota Land Bruisers and Ford Broncos were the bad ass 4WD's of the day. The old one's still are.

I luvs me some 911's......but why is it that every other one is silver?

some cars look great in grey or silver but it's also one of those 'maintenance free' colors that doesn't show dirt, scratches or neglect as much as other colors.

It's Porsche's corporate color. All of their early race cars were silver. I think it's a tradition thing more than anything.

No doubt, I always think 356 when you say 'silver porsche' but I have no idea if they guys driving all these silver 911s come at it from that tradition angle.

No truck, no problem

Local grass cutting crew uses their 2 powered mowers, skateboards, and a bike to get to the next house.

I keep seeing one of the Smart Car Sport's around here but I haven't been able to take a pic yet.
