What would be a fair price? I was asked $699. Some scratches on back but no paint removed. Minor s?I?dings, again no major gouges .Gibson tuners replacing original.
A Breadwinner is a super niche guitar and they were polarizing even when they were new. I'd imagine there's lots of negotiating room, particularly if the guitar isn't 100% original.
EDIT: Whoops, you said Viper. Comments still stand though.
Well, I wound up buying. No original case so I asked about taking it down to 599 instead. After a bit we wound up at 649 and a padded gigbag. I like it so far, but it needs a little wiping down and new strings. Action actually feels good now. Maybe even a tiny tiny bit low. Prob just leave it where it is.
Trying to date it now. All I have found so far says between 75 and 80. I already knew that as that was pretty much when they were made. I know not earliest model cos it was made after the move of the toggle switch from under pickups to between vol and tone knobs.
