I wish you guys could have heard my Father-in-Law's Miata with the 500hp V8 and side pipes. One of the only cars that has ever really scared me while driving in a straight line. :messedup:
 
Reminds me of a baby Jaguar XK.

In the right environment (mountain/canyon roads), I could see that being a blast.

For everyday driving, not so sure. Definitely a "specialist" kind of automobile.....

They have that exhaust note tuned correctly, though. That's for damned sure.

I've probably driven close to 100 V8 Miatas. The guy that founded Monster Motorsports was a local guy that contracted my company to do all of the wheel and tire packages for the completed cars after they got their big overhauls. He literally created the "Monster Miata". Base model was a Ford 302 crate motor with brakes, suspension and diff from the RX7. Some customers opted for MUCH scarier motor packages such as a Supercharged 351. Unfuckingreal.

That guy is currently serving two consecutive life sentences for murdering his first two wives. I knew he was crazy, but not THAT crazy.
