This came in today,and i really dig it. I had been using an MXR Micro Amp for lead boost buts its a bit noisy. This pedal gives m a 3db boost for leads,and isnt noisy at all. It also gives me some GREAT sustain.I'm digging it

i'm not certain how its measured, i simply know its a nice little boost for my solos.

3dB boost refers to twice as much. A nice example is the a 100 watt amp is 3db times louder than a 50 watt amp hence doubling the power.

10 * log10 (2) = 3.01 dB, where 2 is the double in power (volume)

It is usually the ratio of out over in to the log base 10.
