NPD: Strymon El Capistan

So I've been trying to get rid of my broken Fender Twin on Craigslist for a while now. I described what was wrong with it (loud staticky noise when pushed). Two techs have tried to fix it and couldn't figure out what the deal was, so I decided to cut my losses and I listed it (with all issues noted) for $400. No interest at that price for three weeks until a couple days ago when someone offered me a Strymon El Capistan and $100 for it.

I've wanted one of those for a long, long time - best sounding delay I've ever heard - but I couldn't justify paying $300 for a pedal. But I took the guy up on his offer.

With work being crazy like it is I haven't had much time to play with it but this demo video from YouTube does a good job summarizing it. It's extremely versatile and it sounds so, so good. It has bumped my Carbon Copy (which is still a good sounding pedal) off my board.

Bought one... I'm going to spinning back kick my Belle Epoch into the dumpster.
