I just got this today and I'm quite impressed. I know some purists will insist that it's not a true Uni-Vibe because there is no opto-cell in the circuit. After listening to some true opto-cell units, some costing twice as much or more, I thought this sounded as good or better. I like the level control so you have no trouble matching the levels on/off. Some say this is a repackaging of the 2012 limited run Jimi Hendrix 70th Anniversary Tribute Series Uni-vibe. It may be. I've never played one but from what I've read some said they were noisy. This is very quiet. Not noisy at all. I have to admit I'm no Uni-Vibe expert but I Know what I like and I like this pedal.
 
Just an update:
I used this at a gig last night. It sounded awesome. I actually like it better before OD or any kind of dirt pedal.

I'm a big fan of phase/univibe pre-dirt.

I wonder how these compare to something like the Fulltone Deja-Vibe.
