They're quite well designed. Mine still smells like cut wood.

Cable ties make a lot of sense. No need to take the rubber feet off the bottom, no worries of velcro peeling off of the back, etc. The only advantage velcro has is the ease of re-arrangement, but how often do you do that?

Nice! These look cool, I discovered them the other day. I wish they did a mid size version that fits a wah and 4-5 pedals without the 2nd tier though, it'd be perfect for me.

There's a smaller version. And the deck is removable. They also sell a small board intended to sit on top of an amp.
