Noel Gallagher

Slender Hobbit
I freakin love that guy. I can't say I ever really listened to Oasis and I have never owned a record by them, but I just read an interview from Guitar World.

Question: I haven't been hearing a lot of guitar on your recent albums. Any plans on getting back into guitar in the near future?

Noel: On my previous record there was one guitar solo. On this record there are nine. So fuck you.

Question: You used to say you weren't too fond of Oasis' Be Here Now. Has your opinion changed over the years?

Noel: I meet people who say, "That's your best album." And I say, "Really?" but I think, you fucking moron, you don't know what you are talking about.

Caught part of a concert of theirs (NGHFB) on Palladia, and he is great.

I like his solo album better than his stuff with Oasis....not that they didn't have their moments. That album has some brilliant stuff on it.

Both Noel and Liam are very opinionated. Part of the reason they cannot be in the same band anymore.

Noel on his drinking buddy Bono:

"In comparison, Gallagher says Bono is “really f—ing brilliant company” — the kind of guy who remains the effortlessly charming life of the party even after putting away a few too many. “I’ve been drinking with him, and I’ve been leaving a bar at 6 in the morning and he’s on the bar singing opera,” marveled the Oasis co-founder. “He’s got a f—ing gig the following night with 70,000 people. And I’m being escorted out like James Brown — f—ing pissed.”

I can confirm this.
