I got a new hundred dollar bass today. I saw this old P-Bass copy on Craigslist. Not something I’d normally spend $100 on.
But something looked familiar. Where have I seen that headstock before?
I’d better look close. Ok, I’d better start emailing the guy.
I think it’s a 1996 Peavey Fury. It needs new strings, and the pots are a little scratchy. It’s got a nasty case of fret sprout that needs to be fixed ASAP. But it has an amazing neck; almost arrow straight with even frets. But it’s better than any $100 Squier I’ve owned.
