New old Strat day

Pine Apple Slim

Armchair Expert
Latest attempt at finding a Strat I actually enjoy playing.
This is a Mexican from 1996. All original as far as I can tell. It has some mojo, it’s def been around the block.
But it didn’t cost much and it plays real nice. Action is very low w no buzzzing or dead spots.
Would play even better with some fret treatment. If I really take to it I’ll give it the old
re-dress and rolled edge treatment. Tho as is it’s there’s not enough wear to really be a problem.
Maybe I’ll like this one enough to keep around, we’ll see.

Looks just like the first Strat I owned. Since getting it, it has undergone many changes as that's what I learned to mod, upgrade, etc a guitar. Congratulations.

HNGD!

I've found with Strats, it really is a case of finding one that suits you, lots will be just "meh" for me, even if they're right for someone else.

Update:
So far Im liking this one a lot. Neck pickup was a little boomy but I lowered it slightly and now it pairs excellently with the other 2.
Bridge came "almost" decked with 3 springs, no trem arm, and Im really liking the feel and string tension as is. Just spongey enough to feel "Stratty". I'm loving the way my bends feel on it with a fresh set of 9s. Only had to tweak the intonation one one string. The weight is good. Not too heavy and nicely balanced, not super light but certainly no boat anchor. IDK if it's Alder o Basswood but whatever, it sounds good.
Yesterday at the big Sunday jam I ran it thru a teal Hendrix silicone mini FF and it was frigging awesome.
Every tone I needed right there on the ol vol knob and pickup selector, happy days!
If the honeymoon continues I plan to-
Give the frets some love and care
Do the tone control> bridge pup mod.
Cant really see that it needs anything else.
