My birthday was last weekend and one of the things I got was a Valeton GP-50 pedal.
Definitely glad I got this rather than the GP-5, the extra knobs and controls mean it is really easy to edit pretty much anything on the pedal itself. Being that bit larger (about the size of a Boss pedal), Valeton has managed to build in rechargeable battery which is great for portability and easy set up.
So far, testing has been limited.
First, I plugged it into the Aux Return on my Microcube and ran through the stock patches. First impressions were that I could hear decent effects but wasn't blown away by the default amp and cab sims.
Second, I plugged it into the Power Amp in on my Katana. With no tweaking of the patches, it sounded more convincing.
Third, while plugged into the Katana, I started building a patch from scratch, just trying to get a decent dirt sound just using amp and cab models. In a couple of minutes, I had something pretty usable.
Lots more to try out with this thing, so I'll post more as I experiment.
