I've heard a lot of good things about Classic 30s and have always wanted to try one. So when one popped up on my local CL for cheap, I couldn't resist. The story of how I got this amp here: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/threads/peavey-classic-30-opinions.75890/
Had a lot of fun messing with it last night. Sounded great with a strat plugged directly in, just using the drive controls on the dirty channel. Definitely a keeper. Looking forward to taking it to our weekly jam night next week.
Here are some pics. The only cosmetic flaws I've seen are a little scratch on the Classic 30 front label and some paint on one of the rear corner protectors. Pretty sure the paint will come off easily. I think he must have bumped into a wall with it at some point.
Anybody care to venture a guess as to the year of this amp?
