NBD: Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Short Scale

Black was tempting, but the candy apple red won. I'm happy to return to my low end love.
I was looking into a Jazz bass as they're my favorite, but I love how the Modified Jag's use a combination of J and P style pickups and a Jazz neck profile.

That looks great! Some day, I might like to add a bass. I would have to figure out if I want 4 or 5 strings. I like the idea of the combination of the J and P style features of that one too.

It sounds great and plays well in my hands.
$179 is hard to beat. I have pedals that run more!

Nice!!

I like the idea of the pickup configuration.

not that I really know anything about them, but I suspect there's a lot of different tones in there - the combo give you some flexibility?

HNBD!

Nice! I have one of those. I ended up replacing the pickups with passive EMGs. I'm not a big fan of single coil hum. The EMGs really opened up the sound of that bass.

Congrats. I am trying to decide between that and the Squire or Fender Mustang bass. I need to try one of those out.

These are great little basses. I have the Special model with actives. For just over $200 I couldn't be happier.

HNBD!!

Great looking bass, and you can't beat the price, especially if it plays well.

It needs a minor tweak with the setup, but otherwise is in good shape.
The bridge pickup has a nice heavy growl when driven hard and slapped around a bit. Wait, that reminds me of a past girlfriend!
