my back arrow only takes me so far back

not sure if this is a problem or just how the site is set up, but I have to go to my favorites to get back to home. For example if I start at home, then go to guitars forum, look at a few threads, then hit the back arrow Im stuck in guitars. Usually most other places you can back button all the way home.

it works but I have to click it 3 or more times...I click once and Im back in the forum where I posted, click again and nothing, again , nothing, then boom im back home.
