More Petrolicious goodness: 1977 Aston Martin V8 Series III

My Powerball fantasy car has always been a Ferrari Daytona, but a late 70s/early 80s Aston Martin Vantage runs a really, really close second. A regular V8 would be just fine too.

 
It is an absolute stunner for sure, but those were some particularly quality challenged years for British cars as a whole. I can only imagine the electrical gremlins and other likely issues.

Didn't those Aston Martin Lagonda's from that era have a Chrysler Torqueflight transmission in them?
 
You guys remember the crappy "disc" cameras in the early 80s? The sold them as bleeding edge but in reality they were even worse than 110 cameras. Anyway, that's what I was using at the 1983 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Lagonda looked (and still does) like a goddamned spaceship. And the V8 Vantage looked like it wanted to kick your ass.
