Hot or Not? Mock up of my next Partscaster

I've bought a few bits from ebay as they've come up for this project.

Body is from an Axl guitar that was £20 delivered a year or so ago, bridge is a Yamaha TRS-101 I got 6 months ago that was also £20 delivered from a guy who was dropping a Gotoh in instead.

The neck has just turned up from China for £28 delivered after winning an auction as the sole bidder and I couldn't resist doing this mockup. Probably won't get built for a few months as there's a couple of other projects to finish first and my time is limited with my job/family commitments, plus there's still quite a few more bits to get (when money allows), but I think this is going to rock when done.

Agreed. I don't have a lot of time to wait for something I will hate on, so if you could just drop the appropriate parts on top of the body where they might end up, I'll have a better understanding of what I'm likely to be hating on.

Agreed. I don't have a lot of time to wait for something I will hate on, so if you could just drop the appropriate parts on top of the body where they might end up, I'll have a better understanding of what I'm likely to be hating on.

Unfortunately money to buy the bits is also an issue this side of payday, as well as getting free time. Just had a load of expense that's left it tight this month.

The current project, which is doing a full overhaul my first decent guitar, I do have all the bits for and will be finishing as soon as I can. Just found I need to do a bit of routing as the brass block I've put on the trem for that is thicker as well as deeper and I need to make some more room on the neck side of the block to get it to sit on the trem posts properly. There will be a thread with pics in due course.

Other guitar project is to drop a new set of pickups into my Yamaha 402S tele as they've gone microphonic. Gratuitous pic of Yamaha thrown in for viewing pleasure.
