Meteor over SE Michigan

Loud boom and a bright flash has been reported from where I live in Northwest Ohio, north to Detroit. The National Weather Service reported it was a meteor.

I may have told the story before, but about 15 years ago, I was sitting in the back, West-facing bedroom of our house at the time on the desktop, when my eye caught what was a gradually-brightening blueish light that got pretty bright, then disappeared. It looked like a power transformer blowing in the distance. Found out later on the news that chunks of the meteorite were found about 30 miles east.

I saw a meteor about like that on my way to work a couple of years ago. It went across my field of view right to left and disappeared. It was spectacular!
