I really want to spend a week in the Monterey Peninsula area sometime. My wife hasn't been enthusiastic when I've brought it up, but I know she'd love it if we went there.

Take her to Cannery Row, the 17 Mile Drive, Carmel. There's a lot to see and the coastline is some of the prettiest in the world.
