Learned something new today

The United Kingdom is made up of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales (no clue why Wales' flag isn't included on it)

Good point......the Union Jack with a red dragon on it would be pretty dang cool.

Hell, we are still trying to figure out the difference between the UK/Britain/England
One of our Brits could correct me if I'm wrong here, but...

British Isles = all the islands in the area
(Great) Britain = the entire island on which England is located
England = one country contained within the island, but not the whole island
UK = the conglomeration of particular countries within the islands

Spot on except that the Republic of Ireland is a separate nation state and not part of the UK.

Isn't it only called the Union Jack when it's flown at sea?
I thought I read that somwhere.

It wouldn't be proper to feature a Welshman balls deep in a sheep, on a flag, thats why. :rim:

Thank you, thank you, Goodnight Wembley!

If Jack helped you off the horse, would you help Jack off the horse??
