i thought this forum could use some BT jam action! just something to record/have a lil fun in between the recordingfests etc.

i know, "Not Another Aebersold!"

but this one popped up on shuffle  and i actually liked it. its got a nice groove.

its just Bbminor the whole way through. the track is really long, so cut it down if ya feel like it! i know i wont be soloin for 6 minutes!

im postin this tonight just to get started, but i wont get around to recording it until tomorrow morning.

"Put Or Shut Up"

...I took a stab at it...its sloppy, and I just wend direct in, I didnt feel like setting up the mic and all that...I love playing along to Abersol though...back when I was gigging regularly, I would just riff along, made it easier soloin during a gig...

that was quick!

ill give it a listen in a minute. recording a stream right now. :thu:

Very cool! I'll definitely give this a whack in the next day or so. Mosidiqi and I were just discussing doing a weekly BT jam.....I'm going to let this stay her until tomorrow to let everyone see it and then I'll move it to the backing track forum once it gets some traction....:thu:

Good track - got some nice Grant Green moves in there. :thu:

...yea, Grant Green is all over my playing...Ive studied him very closely...they never liked that at college, my professor would always say "you really love that pentatonic box, dont you?"...he's from the Wynton Marsalis school of thought...a great guy, but its all bop with him, playing the changes real tight...I like just sitting back and jamming...

Very nice!...cool phrasing...especially the "stutter" stuff :thu:

I usually spend a lot of time working out what I want to play and then spend even more time figuring out how to execute it ...

but since you put it that way

Here you go - my second listen to the song, first take on the guitar.

Wicked!..:thu:...I really like the chordy stuff and the "blue" notes..tasty.

Here's mine :embarrassed:...I did my usual Strat/Marshall type thing..probably not right for this type of stuff ..and it all went a bit weird around 1.30...and I stopped playing after 2.00..but forgot to trim the MP3 down

That was quite nice. :thu:

I have an incredible backlog of backing tracks to get to (well, 3), but this one's on the list. This weekend, if not sooner. If I don't keep posting clips, jawbreakerr might forget to mock my playing. :)
