Jon Batiste and Stay Human

I saw them on Colbert Report last night. Well it was on two nights ago, but I always record it on the DVR as it is in past my bedtime. His guest Was Jon Batiste and his group Stay Human. This was one of the best musical performances I have seen on Colbert. The energy was amazing, and the music was great. That typical New Orleans hybrid music that defies labels but brings on the funk. I am going to have to check out more from them.

D/L'ed the album. While it is jazz based, it is certainly not limited to jazz. Plenty of flavors and variety with some very spiritual, positive moods. His piano playing is fantastic!

Colbert always has interesting musical guests. That was cool. Another cool one was Lake Street Dive doing 'You Go Down Smooth'.
