I really commend him for embracing the fact that fingerboard inlays are stupid.

Yeah, it wouldn't be a useful instrument for me, and I don't find it that attractive, even though I like some of the features.
 
I have to say that I like hearing him talk about why he made the choices he did. Its not a guitar for me but the fact that its a signature guitar built as a tool and not a vanity project is something I can get behind.

I was thinking exactly that after watching the video.
 
I like the general vibe. If it had passive pickups and a push-pull volume knob to split the coils I'd give it two thumbs up.
 
I usually want a tone knob but I've never tried the combination of EMGs and mahogany. It might be just right without one.

I have two guitars with compound radius fingerboards and I'm not real impressed. They aren't bad but I don't notice any improvement over a straight radius.
 
I agree the finish is a little boring but it is intended to "show the personality of the player." Sort of like accelerated relicing without being fake. Might look cool after a while. Nice not to have to worry about the finish.
