I couldn't resist scoring wagyu beef ribeyes from the food snob market this morning.

At $49.99/lb.

Here's the question - my original plan had been to do filets with my signature Marsala sauce. Scored some real morels for it (which were also crazy expensive). I'm thinking it might be a violation of, well, something, to put a sauce on ribeyes of this richness. OTOH a shroomy sauce isn't unheard-of on all kinds of steaks.

What say you, MWGL foodies?

I'm not paying $49.99 a pound for fucking any kind of food.

Of course, where I live, $3.99/lb for lobster is considered expensive.

Fuck that shit, dude. What are they, magic cows?

But, since you already bought it.....I would cook it plain and see how it tastes.

Oh, and I got high and went to the grocery store too, once, so I hear ya.....
I bought like 10 boxes of Twinkies and 10 bags of Doritos and a pack of toilet paper.
I'll never hear the end of that shit from my wife. Totally disregarded the shopping list.
Yeah, because I was high.

I am no food snob, but I don't put any kind of sauce on even grocery store steak. That being said, make it however you think you'll enjoy it the most

Well, TBH the supermeat was a little disappointing. It was very good, but not better than the steaks I routinely get at half the price.

Live and learn...

Shoulda put sauce on it. :poke:

Or truffel salt at the very least. I would eat gravel with truffel salt on it.
