Just gave Apple Pay a test run. Works just as advertised - I just held my phone (which was asleep) up to the reader with my finger on the home button, a message appeared saying Apple Pay was workin' and right away I got a buzz and a chime and a success message. Then punch "approve amount" on the store's reader and done.

BTW it was kinda cool using the camera to scan my debit card in - once it focuses the key numbers get kind of highlighted on the image, just like Terminator-vision.
