If you were to receive a Les Faux Jr DC kit like this one:

and didn't want to make a lat out gibson clone, but still wanted to not look freaky, what color would paint it?

I'm thinking of VW Silk Blue Metallic which is close to an aged, but not yellowed Pelham Blue like this:

But with a parchment or mint green pickguard, maybe brown tort.


Anyone else have a suggestion, or do you agree?

Neck will be oiled mahogany.
 
That blue looks good.
I might go for an olive drab green kinda thing. It's a cool color, and it's not something you see on an LP DC.

I really like that on flashier Gibsons, but I tried it in paint with this, and the utilitarian look of the Jr just makes it look army surplus. Pity though.
 
Also thought of making a brother for my Retronaut bass. Though I sorta wanted to get a cheap fretless and do this again.
