I need new pots.

Not pans--I'm almost totally cast iron at this point. But the nonstick saucepans we got as a wedding present (12 years ago) are tired. I don't really do sauces--they mostly get used for popping corn, boiling eggs, heating up soup, and steaming things. In the little bit of shopping I've done, it looks like I can get a tin can with a handle, or an ionized copper spaceship, without a lot of room in between. What's the Chevy Altima of cooking pots?

Tramontina makes some decent chevy-altima-esque things. Check out their "tri-ply" line (which I think you can get from places like walmart)

on the copper spaceship side of things, I got a couple falk copper pans on sale and while they are definitely an indulgence, they are awesome.
