I met this kid when he was 11

His name is Sam Melchi. Maybe he was 9. He's 15 now.

He was invited to the yearly Heritage Guitars get together. He blew everyone away. On the spot, Marv Lamb from Heritage decided to make a guitar for him. He now endorses Heritage Guitars. He's totally self taught. He has a bright future ahead of him.

Not familiar with that Heritage model. Is it new? It looks kinda PRS-ish. The kid can definitely play. Is he one of those lefties that plays with the strings upside down? That is, low E on the bottom? Kinda sounded like that was how it was strung.

That is a Heritage H-110. They are out of production. It's a small semi hollow with no f holes. And yes, he plays with the strings upside down. He learned to play on his dad's right handed guitar.
