Dig it! I made a pedalboard today

Pine Apple Slim

Kick Henry Jackassowski
Just gotta get some Velcro.
23"x15" fits perfectly inside an old samsonite suitcase for transport

You guys kinda make me feel silly for getting another Boicebox.... but the bamboo just works so well with my Island/Reggae band. :helper:

$10 lumber, $6 box drywall screws. I already had the Krylon Farmall Red.
Got 20' Velcro at Wallywrld awhile ago.
Should have enough material leftover for another smaller one for ac guitar or bass.
I have 5-6 pedals and a wah. I should be able to get a few more plus a vol pedal on this one.
The suitcase needs cleaning up and I gotta find some interior padding material. I ripped out all the old dry rotted interior.
When I get it all together I'll post a final pic.

Nice^
I just coulnt see paying so much for a pedaltrain with very little gigging. This is to organize the floor of my music room as much as anything. I think I'll use the rest for a bass board I will gig with. I double on elec and upright so I could really use a small board for the Baggs PADI, A/B box, and tuner, maybe even a small mixer.

Here it is with all the pedals I own laid out

I've never had a board, never used over 1 or 2 pedals at any one time playing live. I'm typically a set my distortion/OD at the amp kinda guy.
So
1.Where do you guys put the tuner? I've always plugged into it first but I see it last on the posts above.
2. Where would you put the Comp? I never squash, but I like a tiny bit for jangle or slight boost. I've been running it right behind the wah, tuner>wah>comp>OD.
3. Buffer? The only pedal I have with its own adapter is the JamMan. Perhaps put it first in time based effects? No effects loop in my amps. I only use the looper for practice but I'd like to keep it on the board and handy. Maybe right after the OD and before the Phase90? Or must it go last to work right?
4. OD/clean boost/distortion. The DaddyO really does it all pretty well but has tiny knobs and is hard to tweak on the fly. Recc for another pedal either for clean boost or dirt?
My amps are a USA VC 2110R, Micro Terror, 71 SF Bassman head.

My taste ranges from classic country and rock to garage rock, R&B/blues, 60s pop and psychedelia, everything except metal really.

I plan to add a Vol pedal eventually.

Note the Grilled Cheese will likely come off. I got it thinking it might be good for a cool 60s garage sucky distortion tone, but it just sucks. Truly bad IMO.

I put the tuner last so the delay doesn't choke out when I engage the tuner and mute the signal. Handy live.

I got the pedal train used for next to nothing. I didn't want such a big version but the price was hard to resist. Still if I were gigging again, I'd probably go back to a more portable board.

All done. Wound up with tuner 1st for the mute feature.
tuner>wah>comp>OD>phase>delay>reverb>looper.
Not noisy at all. Thanks everybody for the input!
The suitcase will have to wait for warmer weather, it's getting darn cold here. I need to unwrap the outside faucets to give it a good washing, and locate some padding material.

Only thing I might suggest is putting the Phase90 before the gain toys (comp and OD). It's a taste thing but I find the Phase90 is less likely to destroy your face that way.

I could try that, but I only use the Phase for low gain cleanish country things, so the OD is usually off or set for a slight boost at most when the phase is on.

Thinking about making a place on there for the Micro Terror. Would be great to have amp controls right there and accessible. Any downside to such a long cab run? Thinking would need 15-20 ft of speaker cable for optimum cab placement on most stages. Any downsides to that?
Course it makes no diff in my practice room. More conveint there sitting on top of the cab.

It won't fit in the suitcase tho I think it would make the whole rig too thick. I transport the amp and its power supply cord in a lunchbox anyway. Thinking I could attach it to the board with a bunge cord. Plenty of room.
