I have ordered a Raclette machine.

Even though I have no use for one, I can completely see its awesomeness.
I'm absolutely positive my wife would "need" this.

My next-door neighbor is from France. He does raclette on NYE. It's delicious delicious.

It reminds me of when fondue pots were hip and happening in the 70s. But more expensive and even less likely to get used more that once.

I only use the blowtorch for the foie gras.

We have a fondue set, which I think may have been someone else's 1970s wedding present. On the occasions, NUMBERING IN TOTALITY TWO(2), that we have had fondue for dinner we just warmed the stuff up in a saucepan.

Don't think domestic raclette bliss is on the cards; VoidTerraFirma's life is in this respect at least an enviable one - I do love me some cheese.

I'm split on this one. on the one hand, single-purpose kitchen implements are kinda dumb. on the other hand, melted cheese.
