i promised myself i could spend $200 of the money from my Princeton. after this, i can re-cable my rig. which i'll need to do, because in practice last night, my drummer knocked over the crash cymbal and sliced one of my cables in half. after, i told her she should look into a career as a mohel.
 
initial impressions: it's kinda scooped sounding, probably due to the interactive bass and treble controls. somehow, it makes my Allen Encore (tweaked Vibrolux) sound middy. it didn't like my Big Muff in front of it, but loved the Red LLama.

it's also hot as hell in my music room today and there's no air conditioning in there. so it could just be me. will have to bring it to band practice next week to really get a feel for it.
 
still at bedroom levels:

still loves the Red Llama, but the Way Huge Angry Troll is the clear winner here. i was surprised that it liked the Troll over a standard LPB-1, but i'm really not gonna nitpick. the ThroBak sToneBender sounded good as well, but it's not the sound i'm going for.
