A well crafted pop tune. The tape loop (using actual tape!) of Jeff and Lenny Castro doing all sorts of percussion on it is quite brilliant btw.

I think this cover shows that it is a pretty cool tune musically speaking. Take away the offending lyrics and there's seemingly less to complain about. That said I have no problem with oxymorons like deafening silence, so solitary company doesn't bother me. The rest of lyrics are meandering...a bigger issue. So the one attempt at clever wordplay falls flat.
