Hot or Not: Vogele Tele

He also recently had one of his Parker Fly guitars done in a carbon fiber dip...

It looks spectacular in person.

Love the belly cut and contoured arm rest which is what I love about Strat's that is missing in slab Tele's. While the flame top is a bit busy, at least it is natural and that helps. The carbon fiber plates go against traditional plastics, but I'm a fan of carbon so it doesn't bother me.

Overall, an outstanding creation.

Both of these guitars are super hot. Love the Tele. I don't know what that bridge is, but it looks fantastic.

Love Tele, flame maple, and even graphite. This particular combination just isn't doing it for me. I think if the body were a modern variant on a Tele I'd be really interested, but as is I'm just not feeling it.

Slick!

Tell him to design an original shape now and run with it.

That's the hard part.
The classics work and if you stray too far, nobody wants it. If you copy too close, you're just another guy making telecasters.

Jeez, the Fly came out, what, 30 years ago? It still gets skewered.
