As I was store hopping on Saturday I came across a used Danelectro Daddy O Overdrive pedal at Sam Ash off Beach Blvd. Took if for a test run in the store and was about to use it for a jam on Sunday but I used the other guitar players setup. Got a pickup gig this Friday so I will run it through the paces.
Oh by the way, Holdsworth was at the jam yesterday and he too has one. No I didn't buy it because of him, I bought it because Mike Campbell used it a few years back for some of his recordings. Al told me to run the overdrive about midway and mess with the overall volume. When I was test driving it in the store, I too found that too sound the best.
