Actually got a new laptop on the 6th. First laptop in 10 (since my working days). My desktop is getting long in the tooth and I thought I'd try a laptop as I travel some and it be nice to have some entertainment when I'm stuck at my MIL house for a week. So after a lot of looking and waiting I got a Lenovo Legion 5i from Costco. Good price and should be enough for my needs (i9 14900HX, 32G Ram 1TB SSD 4060 Geforce GPU). I'll get another SSD as there is a open slot so I won't put too much on the computer until then. I did run it for my Friday zoom meeting with some guitar buddies and the power drain was more than I expected. Looks like unless you manual lower refresh rate screen brightness etc the battery life isn't great on this laptop. I knew it wasn't great but it was worse than I expected but doesn't appear to be abnormal based on what I have found and taking with tech support,
The good part about a Costco computer is they have 90 return policy and a 2 year warranty instead of 1 with free tech support
