Yes, it is truly a happy new fuzz day in Casa Blacksteen. The (dead)fx Baphomet I ordered finally arrived, and I found a bit of time to give it a test run.
Now, while I've owned some great fuzz pedals, including a Fuzz Factory, Fulltone '69, Monsterpiece mkII, and a few others, I've never been a big fuzz guy. So while I was curious about this one, especially after watching the great Livingroom Gear Demos vid on YouTube, I was a bit hesitant.
So far, it gets my stamp of approval. Hissy on some settings, but it gives a lot of usable sounds. I can get softer fuzz that's more reminiscent of a cranked Marshall, as well as angry, Muff-like tones.
