HNAD!

Amp tech says it just needs 4 new pots and a new reverb tank. I have an extra, brand new tank just sitting here that I will drop off to him tomorrow. So overall, the repairs to make it like new again will run me about $100.

Got the amp and the flight case for $250, so...

Amp deal of the century!

I haz a happy.

So it wasn't ready the other night after all. He got it back together and it had a nasty hum, so I told him to keep it longer. Ended up needing two filter Caps (big ones).

My reverb tank was iffy at best, I have a spare AccuTronics tank I was going to put in it like I did my other 77. It wasn't a direct fit, so it needed to be mounted to the cabinet. He told me he had a HUGE Accu Tank and a Fender Enclosure he'd drop in for $30, so I told him to do it.

I just picked it up...

Oh

My

God!

It is like brand new. It sounds perfect, and that reverb tank is a monster! I was shopping for a good reverb pedal, but not anymore. No pedal could touch how amazing this thing sounds.

No scratchy pots, no hum, everything works perfectly, and it's loud as Hell when you want it to be.

I am so freaking happy.

Yeah, old filter caps should be replaced, even in solid state amps.

Congrats again on that score, sounds like a keeper.
